UPDATE: As per the latest update, the SSC CGL 2022 Tier 1 exam is scheduled to be conducted from 14th July 2023 to 27th July 2023. The admit card and application status are now available for download through the regional websites of SSC.

All the candidates who have successfully submitted their application form are eagerly waiting for their exam. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has conducted the Tier-1 exam on the dates mentioned below. The Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on the dates provided in the table above. CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern:–
The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam is conducted in an online mode and follows an objective type question format. One interesting fact about the CGL exam is that there is no sectional cut-off, meaning that candidates are evaluated based on their overall performance rather than individual section scores. Here is an overview of the exam pattern:

In the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam, there are a total of 100 questions, and each question carries 2 marks. Therefore, the maximum marks for the exam are 200.

It’s important to note that there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in the Tier 1 Exam. This means that for every incorrect response, 0.50 marks will be deducted from the total score. Candidates should be cautious while answering questions to avoid unnecessary deductions.

The time duration for each of the papers in the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam is 120 minutes, which is equivalent to 2 hours.
There is negative marking for incorrect answers in the Tier 2 Exam. The negative marking is 0.25 marks for Paper-II and 0.50 marks for Paper-I and Paper-III. This means that for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted in Paper-II, and 0.50 marks will be deducted in Paper-I and Paper-III.
It’s important to note that Paper-I and Paper-II are compulsory for all categories of posts. Paper-III is only for candidates applying for the posts of Statistical Investigator Gr.II & Compiler. Paper-IV is specifically for candidates who have applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) in C&AG.
Paper-IV consists of two parts: Finance and Accounts, and Economics and Governance. The paper has a total of 100 questions carrying 200 marks. Each question carries two marks.
